Mobile Emergency Medical Service System (for the Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Service of the District of Columbia): a mobile data access system with a wireless connection to the data center.
Developed and documented the system design and participated the coding (Visual Basic).
Assisted in the project management as Tech Lead, including schedule management, coordination between team and client, supervision of project development.
Remote Access Property Inspection and Dispatch System (RAPIDS) (for the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs of the District of Columbia): a GPS enabled, mobile field work management system, wirelessly connected to a GIS (geographic information system) integrated data management center.
Developed and documented the detailed design for the pilot system as the system architect
Led a group of 5 developers and successfully developed, tested and deployed the RAPIDS pilot (GPS, GIS, wireless networks, distributed relational database system, and object oriented technologies, Visual C++, MFC, Visual Basic, SQL 7.0, ArcView GIS).
The pilot’s success was well-publicized and led to million-dollar contracts and the beginning of the DC e-government initiative.
Problem Driver Detection System (PDDS) (for the US Department of Transportation/National Highway Traffic Safety Administration): a wireless drunk driver tracking/monitoring system.
Developed the critical software and its database system for PDDS. (JAVA, MS ACCESS)
PDDS pilot was the first system in US that is able to track, identify and record convicted drunk drivers on highway. It passed the field test conducted by DOT with 90% success rate.
